My wife and I had been looking to build a house in Elmhurst for a number of years. After looking and finding a lot, we started the process of finding a builder. We were going to be very particular as we wanted a very reputable builder in Elmhurst, and started asking around and planned on talking to a couple builders. Steve was the first builder we meet with, and after meeting him and learning about his process and style, we immediately decided to work with him and cancelled our other planned meetings with the other builders. We felt extremely comfortable with Steve, his style is very upfront and honest, and he took the time to listen to what we wanted out of a house. We loved the fact that Steve is an over-communicator, he was always there when we needed him or had a question, and he walked us through each step of the stressful process of building a house. Steve was always a few steps ahead of the process, and provided us with deadlines and instructions on what we needed to provide him as is related to choices like the cabinets, appliances, flooring, etc. Steve was always flexible around our schedules to meet him at the house to discuss things, and was excellent at getting the best prices from the subs. Steve made this process very enjoyable for us, his quality of work is second to none, our house turned out perfectly and we couldn’t be happier. We were driving around Elmhurst looking at new and existing homes when we came across one being built by Mondo. After checking their references, and seeing some of their finished product, we decided to build with Mondo. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are amazing. Their finishing touches are superb. We are very happy with our house and if we ever need to, will definitely have Mondo build another house for us.
