Steve Buonsante, President of Mondo Builders and lifelong Elmhurst resident, has a strong sense of family, community and work ethic and has planted strong roots with his wife and children. Steve’s grandfather was an architect in Italy and was just as detailed as he is (His drawing is shown). His parents came to America with so many hopes and dreams for their children. His father worked his entire life as a stationary engineer in a factory so that his children could have every opportunity in the world. The word Mondo means “world” in Italian and symbolizes the opportunity we have with each project we accept, as well as reminds us of the impact that each home we build has on the earth.

Steve worked in electrical engineering for 10 years and specialized in designing, testing and servicing industrial controls. He travelled to Germany and around the United States when they needed his analysis and technical support. Detail runs in the family and his mechanical inclinations were evident throughout his life.

His promise to you is that he will take a fresh approach to your project with passion, organization, real analysis of each system in your home and above all else hard work.
